Let’s face it… Kids love snacks!
And snacking isn’t a bad thing. As a matter of fact, it can be a good part of a child’s diet. Tiny tummies get empty quickly, especially when you factor in the activity levels of today’s busy kids. Children need to refuel between meals to have the energy for school work and play!!
Unfortunately, it is all too easy for our kids to fill up on junk food and empty calories. I’m sure you’ve noticed that many of the snack food choices at the supermarket are full of sugar, salt, and saturated fat.
As a mother with three small kids at home, I know how tricky it can be to provide healthy snack choices. I don’t have time for lots of preparation or complicated recipes. But my kids eat snacks every single day; I can’t keep giving the same thing over and over!
That’s where I got the idea for the Healthy Kids Snacks Website. Wouldn’t it be nice, I thought, to have a collection of simple snack ideas and recipes that work well for busy parents? Snacks that are easy to prepare… snacks that are healthier than prepackaged items… snacks that my kids will eat willingly!
And so, I began collecting recipes for this website, Healthy Kids Snacks. Here you will find lots of easy, free recipes, tips, and ideas for quick snacks submitted by real parents like you and I, who have tested them on real kids.
